Hermann von Schneidemühl

born in a small town in West Prussia as the only son of a Nazi pilot

1945

flight from there in the care of my mother, a housewife, escaping the avancing Red Army

1945 – 1961  

spending my childhood and youth near the city of Weimar in Communist East Germany

1961  

flight from there via Berlin to West Germany just four months before the Berlin wall was build    

1961 – 1964

the Cologne years. Working as an animal warden,
a compositor, a taxi driver and as a commercial artist

1965 – 1966  

studying alchemy, astrology and mythology at the
University of Khartoum, Sudan, leaving with the
title „Rajul Hakum“ (,,knowing man“)

1967 – 1970

roaming Africa and Asia in search for the stone of wisdom and other minerals.
Visiting in 1969 for the first time the USA

1971 till today 

producing artworks, artcraft, artfilms and theater-like
scene settings and some commercial flying machines…
and enjoying for more than fifty years the loyalty,
devotion and gratitude of a small generations-spanning community
of international collectors

1971 till today

married, three children

2020-2022

using productively the lockdowns and restrictions
during the Covid-19 pandemic by writing a 720 pages SF novel, title: „The Artist And The SS – present memories about the past to come“
